I would give Jim
and Heide Thomas more than 5 stars if I could. Christmas Eve '08 our beloved English Setter died. She was not sick and not
even 8 yrs old. We were devastated. My husband wanted a new dog NOW... so I spent the holidays on the internet looking for
a dog to help ease the pain of losing our Harleigh. I emailed everyone I could find and Jim emailed me and told me he would
not have a litter until spring but he would try to help me find a good dog. He coached me on to what to look for, answered
my endless questions. He took so much time with me and never once did he ask me to wait for his litter. I did talk my husband
into waiting for one of Jim's pups. It was worth the wait. It was important to us that the pup was socialized from the beginning
since we have 4 young grand children. Jim and Heide did a wonderful job with their pups. They kept us up to date on the breeding
process, the birth, lots of pictures from when they were 12hrs old until we got them. And the pups...oh...I did not mention
, we got 2..a boy, Shylo and a girl, Haylee on June 22, 2009....Smart,sweet good natured, very easy to train, gentle with
the grand children...they are perfect..beautiful... and now my daughter wants one of his pups and her husband and mine are
going to start bird hunting again!!!! Jim knows everything about these dogs...what impressed me the most about Jim is his
LOVE FOR THE BREED !!!! He loves these dogs...You will not go wrong with one of Jim and Heide's dogs...The Thomas' are the
BEST and so are their DOGS!!!!!!!

It was Aug.
of 08 when I came upon Jims Web site. I started to inquire about a pup and just missed his last litter I got my pup in June
of 09. At 4 months old he is by far the best setter I have owned. So much of it is due to Jim and his breeding practice and
the Llewellin blood line.
Wilson loves people stays close when we take walks and is a easy learner. I should be putting
him on birds in the next few months. He's been a joy to have.

I had spent
6 months researching pedigrees of llewellins, and breeders. One phone call with Jim and my search for my dog was over. I hadn't
even verbally confirmed a pup purchase from him when I inquired about training practices and literally within hours he had
sent me an email full of extremely helpful advice. At this point I sent him a deposit and waited nearly 6 months for my pup.
The pup is perfect, we absolutely couldn't be happier. In all honesty, I wish we would have bought 2, because my wife wont
give mine up for me work with. Thank you Jim for the wonderful experience. Chad West Branch, Mi

As a child I always dreamed of the perfect dog and was never allowed
to have one, and now at the age of 29, “Chief” has made these dreams come true. Jim is a wonderful and caring
fella both for his dogs and the families the dogs are going too!!!! If my “boss” (wife) would allow me to get
another pup it would only be from Jim. The natural ability of Chief is amazing and his nose for birds and even a downed deer
during bow season is fantastic. He and our Brittany “Jolene” are inseparable and even our cat Milo has learned
to love Chief’s licks. All in all you can’t go wrong with a pup from Jim. Jim, Thank you for the chance to live
my dream….Jeff in Maryland.

We purchased our pup
in June. Jim and his wife drove our new fur ball to our house, hand delivered with a comprehensive care/health packet. "Radar"
has adapted perfectly to our house with another dog, 2 cats and 3 kids. At 7 months he has proven himself in the field and
he is truely a perfect pick! Jim and I correspond frequently and share pictures. He always has fantastic advise and honestly
cares about the pups he has placed. We have purchased dogs throughout our lives and never have encountered such a dedicated,
caring owner. Do not hesitate to pick your next hunting/home companion from Jim!

Jim, I wanted to send you a quick note. Our puppy from Tessie in May has grown to a wonderful dog. You
called him Casper. We named him Tessie's Boo Lew and call him Lew. He and I were out hunting two weeks ago on his 6 month
birthday and he put a rooster up in the air for me. Last week he was on four birds. He's magnificent!!
Thanks from the entire McGuinnis family.

I’ve read the testimonials that have already been posted,
and I can tell you, everything that has been said is true, and then some. I have been known each other for
over 30 years. I got my first Setter, Gus, from Jim some time back, when
I was hunting Illinois’ public hunting areas and my work schedule allowed me to do a lot of it. Gus
had an unbelievable nose. If there was one bird in the field, he found it. If the birds
were running, he would run out and around them, then work them back towards me, and retrieve when the bird was shot.
Not training but innate ability exposed to a lot of birds. Coming from Jim’s family to mine,
Gus readily accepted the attention of my children and the neighborhood children. Gus moved on to better
pheasant fields many years ago. When Jim told us Tess
was going to have a litter in 2008, my wife decided it was time for another setter. Bob entered our lives
that June. Our children have grown and moved out, but there is our Lab, Ahab, and cat, Francis.
All live together like children, in relative harmony. Bob made his first weeklong grouse hunt in
October of that year. A lot of hot scent trails, but no birds to show for all the puppy’s effort.
This year, Bob went on his second grouse hunt. More hot scent. We got a number
of birds up, and to Bob’s delight, I managed to bring a couple of birds down. Bob hunts hard, daily
in the field around my house. Only Bob and God know what he hunts. I live too far south
in Illinois for pheasant, and the land is more suitable to deer and turkey. Even so, Bob shows all the
potential to be every bit as good as Gus. Listening to Jim talk about reports he gets about the progress
of all the dogs, they are all Gus class. Some even better.
